WebMay 8, 2024 · This ongoing cooperative project began in Florida in 1984 in partnership with various state agencies; prior to 1984, the USGS independently collected and published statewide inventories of water-use data at 5-year intervals beginning in 1970. The data needed for these compilations is provided primarily by the five water management districts.
